We exist because healthspan is built on what we eat most days, and most days get away from us.

Kevin Appelbaum, founder of Field Theory

I spent the last decade at the intersection of nutrition science and technology. At Better Therapeutics, we secured the first FDA authorization for a behavioral therapy that used whole food nutrition to treat type 2 diabetes. We proved, with clinical data, that food changes the course of disease.

The part that stayed with me was not the trial result. It was who sustained it. Not the most motivated patients. The ones who stopped having to decide.

That is the whole idea behind Field Theory. Nutrition is the part of preventive health that asks for attention every day, and attention is the thing in shortest supply. So we built one meal that asks for none of it, and made it complete.

The nutrients are not the point. The food is.

Tufts researchers tracked 25 nutrients across roughly 27,000 adults. Getting enough of them from food was linked to a longer life. Getting the same nutrients from supplements was not.

That result shapes everything about how Field Theory is made. Every nutrient in it arrives inside the food it came from, with the fiber, fats, and plant compounds that came with it.

What we believe

The food is the medicine.

The health benefits in dietary pattern research come from food, not from isolated nutrients in tablets. Science doesn't replace food. It helps us understand why food works.

The enemy is the environment.

The modern food system is designed to make processed food the default. Eating well shouldn't require constant vigilance. It should be as easy as not eating well.

Healthspan is built on what you eat most days.

Harvard followed 105,000 adults for thirty years. Those that ate a high quality diet of whole foods including plants, healthy fats, and whole grains were more than twice as likely as those who ate highly processed foods to reach 75 free of chronic disease, with mind and body intact.

You should not have to take our word for it.

Every batch goes to an independent lab, which confirms the amounts on the label are the amounts in the pouch. We publish the results. Every nutrient traces back to a food you can find in the ingredient list.

More ingredients is not more nutrition.

27 whole food ingredients, each at meaningful levels. Not "90+ superfoods" at trace amounts for label appeal. Intentional formulation, not ingredient accumulation.

One complete whole food meal a day, made from the foods with the strongest evidence behind them.
